On Thursday, the American Federal of Government Employees union uncovered internal OPM briefs which suggested that last week’s data breach may have released the personal information of every federal employee, including Social Security numbers.
Without providing any evidence, a number of US officials have accused the Chinese government of being behind the cyberattack, though Beijing has repeatedly denied its involvement.
