MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Lavrov said that on Thursday this issue would be discussed with the participation of observer states and SCO dialogue partners.
The Russian minister pointed out that special attention would be paid to the SCO development strategy between the present and 2025.
According to Lavrov, developing the organization is one of the main priorities for Russia.
Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that more countries had grown interested in the SCO's work, as it addressed the crucial issues of defense, counter-terrorism and drug trafficking.
The SCO Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs kicked off in the Russian capital earlier on Wednesday.
