A tanker laden with petrol exploded on Sunday evening, killing at least 69 people at a bus station in the city of Onitsha.
According to reports, the tanker lost control after coming off a nearby highway and collided with vehicles in the bus station, causing at least 12 to catch fire.
A representative of the Nigerian Red Cross stated that 69 people were killed as a result of the explosion, and another 30 were injured and taken to local hospitals.
