ZURICH (Sputnik) — FIFA has launched an image-saving campaign after the organization’s major sponsors voiced their concerns over the high-profile corruption scandal tainting the reputation of world football’s governing body, FIFA President Joseph Blatter said Saturday.

"We have exchanged letters [with sponsors] and we start to bring back the reputation of FIFA… I'm sure we will bring them back all in the right situation and we have already planned a personal visit to the organization of these sponsors," Blatter told journalists.

Earlier this week, Adidas, Coca-Cola, Visa and McDonald’s all issued statements calling on FIFA to take swift actions following Wednesday’s arrests of seven senior FIFA officials on a US federal corruption warrant.
