MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Janusz Lewandowski, Kopacz’s chief economic adviser, said, as quoted by the Telegraph newspaper:
"Cameron won’t get far in Warsaw. He wants to limit immigrant rights and will hear a definite no, as he did in other European capitals."
David Cameron’s Conservative Party won the general elections on May 7, securing the majority of the seats in the lower house of the British parliament.
During the pre-vote campaign, Tories vowed to forbid migrants from receiving benefits, such as tax credits and housing benefits, for four years.
The relations between the United Kingdom and the European Union have recently been strained, with increasing numbers of Britons raising concerns over bloc membership. EU free movement policy within member states has been criticized in the United Kingdom. The Conservatives have pledged a referendum on EU membership by the end of 2017.
