A 7.0-magnitude earthquake has struck the coast of Alaska, the US Geological Survey said Friday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The quake’s epicenter was situated 63 miles of the island of Chirikov located to the west of Nome on Alaska’s mainland.

No tsunami warnings have been issued and there are so far no reports of damage from the earthquake.
