On Sunday, US Defense Secretary Ash Carter said that the Iraqi military's weak morale was one of the major reasons why the Islamic State militants captured the key Iraqi city of Ramadi last week.

Since early 2014, the Ukrainian security forces are trying to suppress the independence movement in the eastern Ukrainian region of Donbas, that refused to recognize the coup-imposed government in Kiev.
According to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the conflict in eastern Ukraine has left more than 6,200 people dead and over 15,600 injured.
