CHISINAU (Sputnik) — The Liberal party headed by Moldova's former acting President Mihai Ghimpu would have received seven percent of the vote. The party advocates cooperation with NATO and integration with Romania.
"Liberal democrats and democrats that currently form the alliance 'For European Moldova' in the parliament, would not be able to secure seats in the Legislative Assembly, as they command only 5.2 percent and 4.1 percent of the votes respectively," CBS-AXA experts said during the presentation of the survey.
According to the poll, the European people's party created by former Premier Minister Yury Lyanke would have gained about eight percent of the vote if general elections were held on the nearest weekend.
At the same time, opposition parties, including the Socialist party and the Communist party, would have obtained 17.2 percent and 9.3 percent respectively.
