Russia Hopes Next Trilateral Gas Talks Take Place by End of June
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia may take into account Ukraine's refusal to repay current debts when making a decision on granting discounts to Ukraine on future gas supplies, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said Saturday.

Earlier this week, the Ukrainian Parliament passed a bill, which if signed by President Petro Poroshenko would allow Kiev to suspend foreign debt payments.

"The Russian government will decide it… Probably, it will be taken into account somehow, because we have relations in different spheres," Novak said.

The minister also said that Ukraine had asked Russia to extend the current gas discount without export duty until the end of the year.

In March, Moscow extended the discount of $100 per one thousand cubic meters of Russian gas until mid-2015.
