When one sees a group of Islamic terrorists, using a Nazi howitzer used during World War II, it’s a clear sign that the world might have gone wrong.

The video has been uploaded on YouTube showing members of the Syrian rebel group Islamic Front firing the old howitzer, used by the German army during World War II, the Local reported.

Islamic Front used the howitzer, a 10.5 cm leFH18 (light field howitzer), during an attack on the city of Ariha, controlled by forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The howitzer was used widely throughout Europe during World War II. The old artillery can fire 14 kg shells as far as 10 kilometers (6 miles).

An expert from German newspaper Bild said the rebels most likely stole the howitzer from the Syrian Army who have a few of them in service or from a museum.

"When fighters only have limited access to modern weapons, it's quite common that they resort to using older models," Nic Jensen Jones told Bild, according to the Local.

The Syrian Civil War started in March of 2011. As a result, the death toll as of March 2015 was 220,000. Almost 4 million people have become refugees outside of Syria and another 7.6 million have become displaced within the country. The UN estimates that 12.2 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance in Syria.
