Brazilian driver Helios Castroneves' car flies backwards into the air after impact.

During practice for the Indianapolis 500, Castroneves' car slammed against the wall just ahead of the turn. The bump sent the car flying into the air in a spectacular somersault that remarkably left the driver uninjured.

"I didn't expect to go flipping backwards," Castroneves told USA Today. "I was very surprised by that. I was expecting a big shunt and big issues, but it was just like I spun out at any other racetrack."
