Ukraine is 'Bulletproof Vest' of Europe - PM Yatsenyuk

After wanting Ukrainian to be an official language of the European Union (EU) and stating that it was the Soviet Union that invaded Nazi Germany, the Ukrainian Prime Minister continues to amuse Europeans. This time he said Ukraine is a “bulletproof vest” of Europe and it is on the verge of a nuclear war with Russia.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk is convinced that Ukraine plays the role of a "bulletproof vest" for the EU, French Le Monde reported.

"We appreciate the support of our Western friends. But Europe and the World must remember the sacrifices that Ukrainians made to defend their freedom and European values," Yatsenyuk told Le Monde.

The Prime Minister also said that everyone must understand that Ukraine is on the verge of a nuclear war with Russia. He added that Ukraine is Europe's "bulletproof vest" and the stronger Ukraine is the stronger Europe would be.

On Wednesday, Yatsenyuk went to France on an official visit where he is expected to meet both Francois Hollande and French Prime Minister Manuel Valls.
