Crimea, Rostov Region Aviation Units Receive New Fighters, Bombers
09:15 GMT 12.05.2015 (Updated: 09:26 GMT 12.05.2015) Five new models of aviation equipment, including Su-34 multi-role fighter bombers and modernized Su-27P fighters, have been received by aviation units of the Southern Military District located in the Rostov Region and the Republic of Crimea.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Aviation units in Russia’s Southern Military District of Crimea and Rostov Region have received new bombers and fighters and expect another 40 units of aircraft in the near future, the Defense Ministry’s Southern Military District’s press service announced on Tuesday.
“Since the beginning of the year, the aviation units of the Southern Military District located in the Rostov Region and the Republic of Crimea received five new models of aviation equipment, including Su-34 [Fullback] multi-role fighter bombers and modernized Su-27P [Flanker] fighters. In the near future, another 40 units of modern aviation equipment are expected.”
