Iranian researchers have developed efficient nano textile composite structures similar to body tissue.

Researchers from Amir Kabir University of Technology (Tehran) have developed nano textile composite structures like body tissue for production of cell implantation, reports Iranian media.

The faculty member at the university said that a scaffold with physical structures should be designed for producing a tissue through engineering methods.

Tissue engineering is the study of growing new connective tissues, or organs, from cells and a collagenous scaffold to produce a fully functional organ for implantation.

Various samples were produced in the Textile Engineering department at the university by selecting natural polymers such as gelatin and collagen and synthetic polymers such as PLC. Based on the results, the composite scaffolds produced in this research institute have greater efficiency than the previous ones.
