“We see as absolutely unacceptable all cynical attempts to rewrite history and justify the Nazis and their lickspittles to accommodate some people’s time-serving interests. Such attempts are both immoral and extremely dangerous as they push the world towards new conflicts, brutality and violence,” the message said.
Vladimir Putin voiced confidence that the conference would “promote an honest vision of the wartime events, help immortalize the heroism of our fathers and grandfathers and raise the young generation in the spirit of patriotism, humanism and friendship between people of different nationalities.”
