Bumpy Ride: Poland Bans Russian Bikers From Driving Through to Berlin
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Moscow considers the decision of Polish authorities to deny the entry of Russian bikers on its territory "politically motivated," Russian Foreign Ministry said Friday in a statement.

Poland was the only country to deny entry to the bikers on their planned route, the ministry said.

"It is obvious that this decision is politically motivated," the statement said.

Earlier in the day, the Polish Foreign Ministry officially notified Moscow that it would ban Russian bikers from entering the country, citing a lack of data on the planned activities of the bikers, their exact movement routes as well as location of night rest stops.

Despite the ban, the Night Wolves are set to take part in the motocross expected to begin on Saturday, the club’s press service told RIA Novosti Friday.

About four dozen Night Wolves members are planning to visit Minsk, Brest, Wroclaw, Brno, Bratislava, Vienna, Munich and Prague and finish the journey on May 9 in Berlin, laying flowers at the monument for Soviet soldiers in Treptow Park.
