VIENNA (Sputnik) — Prior to the plenary session, the P5+1 political directors concluded a coordination meeting, and held several bilateral meetings.
Experts from the P5+1 group comprising the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, China, France and Germany have been holding talks on the Iranian nuclear issue in the Austrian capital for the past two days.
On April 2, Iran and the P5+1 group worked out the political framework agreement on the Iranian nuclear program in the Swiss city of Lausanne. Under the deal, Tehran pledged to cut back its uranium enrichment and decrease the number of centrifuges in the country, in exchange for gradual lifting of international sanctions.
The deadline for the final deal on the Iran’s nuclear program is set for July 1, 2015.
