Warsaw has officially banned Russian bikers from entering Poland during their planned trip to Berlin for Victory Day.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Bikers from the Night Wolves motorcycle club had planned to ride through Poland during a journey to Berlin to mark the 70th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany.

"The reason for this decision was the lack of required information on the planned activities of the bikers in Poland, their precise movement routes and location of night rest stops," the Polish Foreign Ministry said in statement posted on its website.

"This information was necessary to ensure reliable security of the bikers and to carry out the required organizational activities," the statement said.

German Biker: Government, Media Are Exploiting Russian Bikers' V-Day Ride
The Russian Embassy in Warsaw has received an official note by the Polish Foreign Ministry on the Russian bikers' entry ban, Russian ambassador to Poland Sergei Andreev told RIA Novosti.

During the rally, expected to start Saturday, about four dozen Night Wolves members are planning to visit Minsk, Brest, Wroclaw, Brno, Bratislava, Vienna, Munich and Prague and finish the journey on May 9 in Berlin, laying flowers at the monument for Soviet soldiers in Treptow Park.

Last week, German authorities said they would not allow the Night Wolves to conduct their tour through Berlin. Local police noted that they had not received a special request from the motorcycle club to drive through the city as a convoy, adding that this would not be allowed in any case.
