A talented person is talented in everything. Piotr Traczyk, a scientist from the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and a passionate heavy metal fan, converted data from the Higgs Boson discovery into a guitar tune.

Piotr Traczyk, a scientist from the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), turned data from the Higgs Boson discovery into a heavy metal song.

To convert the Higgs Boson into music, the long-haired scientist mapped 4-lepton and gamma-gamma channel data onto the music scale, creating two guitar riffs. Then, he added extra background music, drums and bass guitar parts, and finished it up with two electric, heavy metal guitars.

One of the electric guitars played the gamma-gamma scale, while the other – the 4-lepton part riff.

The Higgs Boson is one of the particles in particle physics discovered in 2012 and named after Peter Higgs, a physicist who suggested the existence of the particle in 1964.

Scientists believe that the Higgs Boson is the last discovered particle outlined by the Standard Model of particle physics, which explains the interaction of all subatomic particles. It is one of the fundamental theories of modern physics, which is why it is sometimes called “the theory of almost everything."
