Shooting Incident in North Carolina Community College Leaves One Dead

An unidentified person was killed in a shooting situation in central North Carolina at Wayne Community College.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A person has been killed in a shooting situation in central North Carolina that has led to the shutdown of a community college campus, local media reported on Monday.

According to the Goldsboro News-Argus citing City Manager Scott Stevens, an unidentified victim has been confirmed dead at Wayne Community College.

Time Warner Cable News cited emergency personnel in an earlier report as saying one person has been shot while the authorities were looking for the shooter in the college library.

A WCC official told News-Argus that a suspected shooter has been placed "under control" without releasing his or her identity.
