Ukrainian Defense Minister Semyon Poltorak said that all volunteer battalions taking part in the so-called “antiterrorist operation” in Donbass must report to the country’s top military brass.

Dmytro Yarosh, leader of the Right Sector nationalist movement, which is blacklisted by Russian authorities as extremist, earlier outlined the terms of incorporating his men into the country’s military establishment.

The Right Sector was formed as a coalition of nationalist and neo-Nazi organizations during the Maidan protests in Kiev at the end of last year.

Interpol has put the group's leader Dmytro Yarosh on its wanted list, fulfilling Russia’s April request to issue an arrest warrant for Yarosh on crimes of “public incitement to terrorist and extremist activities involving the use of mass media.”
