Public Transport Workers on Strike Across Italy

Monday saw the beginning of a four-hour strike of public transport workers in the Italian capital Rome, where they protested against government labor reforms.

Rome public transport workers went on strike on Monday to voice protest against government labor reforms; a four-hour strike began at 08:30 local time, disrupting the metro, buses, trams and trains in the city.

Earlier in the day, four-hour strikes also started in the cities Bologna and Naples, with a similar lockdown expected in the evening in the northern cities of Milan and Turin.

Public transport services are due to come to a halt there scheduled to be halted between 18:00 to 22:00 local time.
