In criticizing the inner circles of the Clinton and Bush administrations, Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley said that “The presidency of the United States is not some crown to be passed between two families.'

His interview comes at a time when several political analysts are calling former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton the “clear front runner” for the Democratic Party’s nomination in the 2016 presidential race; meanwhile, many are calling Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush the “probable contender” to acquire the Republican nomination.

"I think that our country always benefits from new leadership and new perspectives," O'Malley told ABC News This Week. "We need a president who's on our side, a president who's willing to take on powerful, wealthy special interests."

The governor said he will take the spring to contemplate running for president.

When asked whether Clinton could be trusted to tackle special interests, he said, "I don't know where she stands. Will she represent a break with the failed policies of the past? I don't know."
