Volodymyr Groysman underscored that he considered the ratification of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement an important historical event.
In his turn, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier emphasized that the Ukraine-EU association deal received much more attention than any other agreement concluded by the European Union in recent years.
The agreement is aimed at further economic integration between the European Union and Ukraine, establishment of a free trade zone as well as political association, industrial cooperation, social development and protection.
The document will enter into force after the EU member-states ratify the agreement in their national parliaments. According to some estimates, the process of ratification could take up to three years.
