MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Low-cost airline Germanwings, a subsidiary of Lufthansa, said in a statement Wednesday it would operate aircraft of other airlines following the crash of Airbus A320.

The Germanwings' plane crashed on Tuesday in the French Alps while en route from Barcelona to Dusseldorf. All 150 people on board died in the crash.

"Today, Germanwings operates eleven aircraft, predominantly from other airlines like Lufthansa, Air Berlin and TuiFly on approximately 40 flights," the statement said.

On Tuesday, the airline said it experienced occasional flight disruptions due to crew members deciding not to operate aircraft that day following the Airbus A320 crash.

Earlier on Wednesday, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said that there were US, UK, Moroccan and Argentine nationals among the victims.
