MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The 34-year-old top model, who earned $47 million in 2014, has been recognized as the highest paid model for eight consecutive years, according to Forbes estimates.
"Gisele will focus on special projects and will also devote more time to number one priority: her family," Patricia Bundchen was quoted as saying by the Jornal O Globo web portal.
Sao Paulo Fashion Week, due to take place in mid-April, will become Bundchen’s farewell catwalk show, the statement said.
There have been speculations in recent weeks that Bundchen could quit her 20-year-long career in light of the supermodel's statements that she would like to spend more time with her family.
Bundchen is married to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, with whom she has two sons.
The supermodel has worked with a number of world famous brands, including Chanel, Valentino, Victoria’s Secret, Versace and Louis Vuitton.
