The notoriously harsh winter is not over for the US with large parts of the country currently receiving even more record snow and another storm on the way. Already, the latest blizzard is bringing travel to a standstill in many areas.

The latest storm, Winter Storm Sparta, has caused the deaths of three people already on roads made hazardous by ice and snow.

One collision involving at least 15 cars including several semi trucks in Missouri this weekend killed two people.

Interstate 44 is still closed.

It is believed the accident started when a semi truck rear-ended a Greyhound Bus.

Over the course of Sunday night, at least six crashes were reported after drivers attempted to pass snow plow crews.

The third person was killed In Oklahoma when a driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into another car.

Flights from various airports have been canceled including thousands of lights from the southern hub Dallas-Fort Worth in Texas.

Meanwhile, Boston, which has been getting some of the worst of what the winter has had to offer, will probably break the all-time record for snowfall.
