LONDON (Sputnik) — The United States and its allies are considering imposing more sanctions against Russia over its role in the Ukraine crisis, US State Secretary John Kerry announced Saturday.
On Friday, US State Department Spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters that the Ukrainian conflict will dominate Kerry's talks with Hammond.
"I'm confident over the next days people will make it clear that we are not going to play this game [of listening to Russia]… and be part of this kind of extraordinarily craven behavior," Kerry said.
Relations between the West and Russia have soured over allegations of Moscow's involvement in the Ukrainian crisis despite Moscow's insistence that it has nothing to do with Kiev's internal affairs.
Over the course of last year and the start of 2015, the United States and its allies have hit Russia with a series of restrictive measures targeting its banking, energy and defense sectors, including a number of high-profile Russian individuals.
