Protests Erupt in Washington State After Police Kill Man Throwing Rocks

Antonio Zambrano-Montes was shot dead by police after throwing rocks at them. It was filmed that he was running away from police with his hands above his head before he was shot.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Protests erupted in the US town of Pasco, Washington, after police officers killed a Hispanic male who threw rocks at them, Northwest Public Radio reported.

The protesters on Wednesday demanded authorities investigate the case and hold officers involved in the incident accountable.

Antonio Zambrano-Montes died in the Tuesday night incident, which began when Pasco authorities received a 911 call about a man throwing rocks at cars in a grocery store parking lot, according to the police.

Zambrano-Montes' cousin Maria Madrigal accused the police of excessive use of force, the radio station reported.
