A Florida police officer’s bodycam has captured two Okaloosa County Sheriff deputies rescuing a man who was trapped in a burning car after a crash.

Officers Joseph Trimboli and Eric Keyes are shown approaching the burning car, with one of them shouting: “Get out of the car.”

The man behind the wheel, who was not responding, had the doors locked and the windows up, prompting one of the officers to shatter one of the windows and pull the man free.

Both deputies earned “Medals of Merit” for “putting their own personal safety aside to save the life of another individual.”
