Nigeria Denies Delaying Election, Committee Meeting Continues

A four-to-six week postponement is on the table as millions are disenfranchised due to a marked increase in Boko Haram activity in the north of the country.

Nigeria's electoral committee has denied that it has decided to postpone the general election.

Previously an official told AP that the election would be delayed for six weeks as the country struggles with Boko Haram's insurgency in the north of the country.

As of now, the political committee is still meeting to decide whether to delay the election.
