Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Kiev, Ukraine, on February 5 to meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, and members of Ukraine’s parliament, according to the statement of the US State Department.

WASHINGTON, January 30 (Sputnik) — US Secretary of State John Kerry will visit Ukraine on February 5 to meet with top Ukrainian officials, the State Department said in a statement on Friday.

“Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Kiev, Ukraine, on February 5 to meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, and members of Ukraine’s parliament,” the statement read. “The Secretary’s visit will highlight the United States’ steadfast support for Ukraine and its people.”

According to the State Department, Kerry will then travel to Munich, Germany, from February 6–8 to participate in the 51st Munich Security Conference. While in Munich, Kerry will also hold a series of bilateral and multilateral meetings, the statement said.
