MOSCOW, January 12 (Sputnik) — The European Central Bank said Monday that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Reserve Bank of India, India’s central bank.
“Mario Draghi, President of the European Central Bank (ECB), and Raghuram Rajan, Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), today signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of central banking,” a statement published on the ECB’s website reads.
The document stipulates regular exchange of information, technical cooperation and policy dialogue between the two banks, the ECB said.
According to the statement, the newly signed memorandum also envisions joint seminars and workshops in areas of mutual interest.
