Mustafa Kamel Mustafa, 56, better-known as the one-eyed, hook-handed cleric Abu, was convicted in a trial last year for helping terrorists kidnap tourists in Yemen in 1998 and others who plotted to open a terror training camp in Oregon.

Mustafa's trial at Manhattan federal courthouse ended a 10-year battle for his extradition from the UK to face charges in the US. His sermons at London's Finsbury Park mosque won him a reputation as one of Britain's most prominent radical Islamic voices.

Mustafa Kamel Mustafa was convicted last May on 11 charges relating to Yemeni hostages, the Oregon training camp and for recruiting an al-Qaeda fighter.
