Sputnik's Chinese website provides information about the most important events in Russia, as well as the Russian standpoint on the major events around the world. The service will also provide the opinions of the prominent Russian and Chinese researchers and experts.

MOSCOW, December 25 (Sputnik) – Sputnik Multimedia Group launched on Thursday a Chinese-language multimedia service, combining website sputniknews.cn and online radio service.

The new Sputnik website is the source of an alternative view on events and breaking news for the Chinese-speaking audience. Moscow and Beijing editorial teams produce content for the service. The website is not only a news source, but it can also serve as a platform for business cooperation between Russia and China.

"China is extremely interested in Russia-related stories, as well as current events and reliable information," head of Sputnik China multimedia hub Alexei Efimov said. Russia and China are neighboring countries and partners that need up-to-date and reliable information about each other."
