MOSCOW, December 22 (Sputnik) — The makers of a scandalous documentary shown on the German ARD TV channel have refused to provide the All-Russia Athletic Federation (ARAF) with unedited versions of video and audio recordings that allegedly show the use of doping by Russian athletes, the ARAF lawyer told R-Sport news agency.

On December 3rd the German television channel, ARD aired a documentary implying that Russian athletes systematically resort to doping. The second installment of the film followed on December 7. Following the broadcast the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) said that its ethics committee would review all the facts regarding the use of doping by Russian sportsmen shown in the ARD film.

"We requested proof from the German journalists and we did not receive it. They have ignored our attempts to obtain unedited versions [of the film materials] to understand whether they depicted it [the conversations] faithfully or it is the product of [video] editing. So we yet don't know how many lawsuits there will be and when will they be filed," Artyom Patsev said.

Patsev noted that before filing any lawsuits the ARAF will conduct its own investigation into the allegations shown in the ARD documentary.
