The Choe Yeong guided missile destroyer and the Cheonji sea tanker will be in the port of Vladivostok for four days.

The South Korean navy has nearly 190 commissioned ships including 12 submarines, 22 destroyers and frigates, 21 corvettes and 84 patrol vessels.

The Choe Yeong is about 15 meters long, 17 meters wide and has a displacement of 4,800-5,000 tons. The vessel can be propelled up to 30 knots (56 km/h). It has 200 crewmembers.

The Choe Yeong destroyer has been a part of the South Korean navy since September 4, 2008. It has since taken part in a series of naval drills, and rescue and evacuation operations.

South Korean seamen will visit their Russian colleagues and will organize a tour onboard the Choe Yeong for local residents. They will also take part in futsal, volleyball and ping pong tournaments.

Sailors will go sightseeing and meet with South Korean citizens living in the Primorsky Territory during their visit to the Russian Pacific Fleet's main base. The ROK Navy squadron is set to leave on December 21.
