Wall at Russian-Ukrainian Border to Wreck Restoration of Relations: Kremlin
KIEV, December 9 (Sputnik) – Kiev needs more than $500 million and four years to complete its “wall” at the border between Ukraine and Russia, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said Tuesday.

“The ‘European Earthbank,’ and namely its construction and equipping the state borders with Russia, will be completed. This project should be finished within four years," Yatsenyuk said.

The prime minister stated that Ukraine was establishing a "separate state agency to support the border," adding that the project will cost an estimated 8 billion hryvnas [about $510 million]."

In September, Yatsenyuk said Kiev had begun work on the "Wall" project that envisages an actual state border between eastern Ukraine and Russia.

Kiev launched a military operation against independence supporters of southeastern Ukraine in April. Since then, Ukrainian and Western officials have repeatedly accused Russia of providing military aid to pro-independence militias. Moscow has dismissed the claims as groundless.
