“From Moscow with Love” is four years old! Happy Birthday! Are Muscovites getting ready to celebrate Christmas and New Year? What do Moscow medical workers have against the latest reforms? Do you remember what your teachers use to say? We’ll also take a look at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Moscow and quote listeners’ letters.

This week, “From Moscow with Love” turns 4 years old. It might as well be a good excuse for a party, just like the grand opening of the biggest shopping mall in Europe and the coming Christmas and New Year’s holidays. With the free-fall of the Ruble and the struggling economy – are Muscovites in the mood to party at all? We visit the Avia Park shopping mall and gauge the atmosphere.

Medical workers took to the streets of Moscow recently, protesting against reforms, which, according to them, are causing more harm than good. We talk about this and changes affecting the way schools and kindergartens are now run in Moscow.

In our new segment “Quotes from our Russian teachers”, we recall some of the unique things our Moscow schoolteachers used to say to us in class.

Finally, a former British army officer in The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is the new Anglican Chaplain in Moscow. We have the details, plus listeners’ letters and times and frequencies for the shortwave broadcast of From Moscow with Love.

We are on Facebook.

Oh, and we’re also on Twitter.
