MOSCOW, November 25 (Sputnik) — Serbia is looking forward to increase trade cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), the Serbian Ambassador to Russian Slavenko Terzic said at a news conference at Rossiya Segodnya press center Tuesday.

"I hope we will use the existing agreement after the Eurasian Economic Union agreement goes into force, and we will increase our trade with the Eurasian Economic Union," Terzic said.
"We want to retain our good relations with Russia and with the future Eurasian Economic Union. It may provide the way out of this dead end, this integration of integrations… That means the integration of the European Union with the Eurasian Union," the ambassador added.
Speaking about potential cooperation between the European Union and the Eurasian Union, he said that it is "the thesis that is interesting to Europe and to Russia. This will make space for developing relations between the West and the East. If we fail to integrate and continue to build new walls in the center of Europe, all parties will lose."
Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan signed a treaty establishing the EEU in May and have already ratified the agreement, which will take effect January 1, 2015. The republics of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have expressed interest in joining the organization. On October 10, EEU leaders signed an agreement on Armenia’s accession to the union.
