The US Secretary of State announced that the majority of IS suicide bombers are foreign fighters 'gullible enough to believe that terrorists enjoy a glamorous life style, and pliable enough to do whatever they are told'.

WASHINGTON, November 18 (Sputnik) – The overwhelming majority of Islamic State (IS) suicide bombers are foreign fighters, ordered to perpetrate the worst crimes, US Secretary of State John Kerry said.

"The vast majority of [IS] suicide bombers and front line fighters are foreign recruits, and notice, none of the leaders go seek paradise for themselves," Kerry said Monday.

Foreign recruits are ordered to perpetrate the worst crimes "because they lack any ethnic or linguistic ties to those they are called on to kill," Kerry added.

"Let's be honest, those recruiting for ISIL [Islamic State] are looking for people, who are gullible enough to believe that terrorists enjoy a glamorous life style, and pliable enough to do whatever they are told," Kerry explained.

Secretary of State stressed that the international community has to curb the flow of recruits to IS, but allow those misled to undergo rehabilitation.

In September, US President Barack Obama chaired UN Security Council high level meeting on the unprecedented flow of foreign terrorist fighters. The Council voted unanimously to cooperate in efforts to address the threat posed by the fighters. Last February Saudi Arabia banned Saudi citizens from joining or publicly supporting IS and other extremist groups. Indonesia has also banned IS and revokes passports of IS militants.

Islamic State, a Sunni jihadi group, has been fighting the Syrian government since 2012. In June, the group extended its attacks to northern and western Iraq, declaring a caliphate on the territories it had seized.
