A deputy chief of the national crisis management center of the Emergency Situations Ministry announced that Russia prepares sixth humanitarian convoy to be sent to Donetsk and Luhansk regions in Donbas.

ROSTOV REGION, November 3 (RIA Novosti) — Russia is loading its sixth humanitarian convoy with medicines and fuel to be sent to Donetsk and Luhansk regions in Donbas, Oleg Voronov, a deputy chief of the national crisis management center of the Emergency Situations Ministry said Monday.

"At the moment the trucks are being loaded by the national crisis management center of the Emergency Situations Ministry in Rostov region," Voronov said, adding that the aid consists of medicines and fuel.

In April, Ukrainian authorities launched a military operation in the country's southeast, where independence supporters refused to accept the new government that was put in power following a coup in February.

The military actions brought about a severe humanitarian crisis in Donbas regions, where the locals were left without food, drinking water and electricity.

Russia has been sending aid convoys to Donbas since August. They have delivered food, water, power generators, medication and warm clothes to help the residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions replenish their stocks ahead of the coming winter.

The previous, or the fifth Russia's humanitarian convoy returned to Rostov Region on Sunday.
