MOSCOW, November 3 (RIA Novosti) — The self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics are ready to conclude agreement with the Ukrainian government and supply coal to Kiev, DPR and LPR said in a joint statement on Monday.
"We will be ready to restore the whole set of connections with the regions of Ukraine. To conclude agreements with the cabinet of ministers, enterprises and organizations of Ukraine. We can supply the Ukrainian regions with coal for them to go through the heating season normally. We need cooperation in energy supplies, agriculture, transport communications, export-driven industries. Our economy will remain in hryvnia zone if Kiev puts an end to the financial blockade," the statement said.
Earlier on Monday, First Deputy Energy Minister of Ukraine, Yuri Zyukov announced that Kiev is ready to buy coal in the areas of Donbas, which are controlled by the independent supporters of Luhansk and Donetsk. Zyukov noted that the coal, mined in Donbas region is needed for the Ukrainian coal-fired power stations to operate without any interruptions.
