DONETSK, November 2 (RIA Novosti) — A new Russian humanitarian aid convoy has arrived at Russia-Ukraine border, Oleg Voronov, a deputy chief of the national crisis management center of the Emergency Situations Ministry said Sunday.

The customs clearance of the convoy's cargo at Donetsk-Izvarino border crossing has already started, according to Voronov.

"Humanitarian convoy of the Emergency Situations Ministry that consists of more than 100 trucks has been divided into two convoys. One will head to Donetsk, and the other one – to Luhansk," Voronov said.

The convoy will deliver to Donetsk and Luhansk regions in Donbas 1,000 tons of aid, including food, building materials, fuel and medications.

Russia has previously sent four humanitarian convoys to eastern Ukraine, which has suffered greatly from the Kiev-led military operation against the region's independence supporters.

The last convoy was delivered on October 31 and consisted of 100 trucks carrying 1,000 tons of humanitarian aid that comprised food and building materials.
