MOSCOW, November 1 (RIA Novosti) — Another victim of the shooting at Marysville-Pilchuck High School in Washington state, the 14-year-old Shaylee Chuckulnaskit, has died, the Guardian reported citing the Providence Regional Medical Center officials.

"Shaylee Chuckulnaskit, known affectionately as Shay to her family and friends, passed away at Providence Regional Medical Centre as a result of severe injuries from last Friday's school shooting," The Guardian quoted the hospital as saying Friday.

It has been previously reported that another two female students died as a result of the shooting — Zoe R. Galasso, who died at the scene, and Gia Soriano, who died at the hospital.

The incident took place on October 24 at Marysville-Pilchuck High School north of Seattle, Washington. The shooter, Jaylen Fryberg, was a popular kid from a well-respected family. He died after reportedly shooting himself.

Two other Marysville-Pilchuck High School students wounded by the shooter remain hospitalized. They are the shooter's cousins Andrew Fryberg, who is in critical condition, and Nate Hatch.

Public mass shootings in the United States have been on the rise since 2011, according to research published by Harvard University. Studies show that a public mass shooting occurred on average every 172 days since 1982, while in September 2011 this number spiked to 14 public incidents in less than 172 days. In the subsequent three-year phase, they occurred every 64 days on average.
