Trucks with Russian humanitarian aid for Ukraine's southeastern regions have headed for Russia after unloading in Luhansk.

LUHANSK, October 31 (RIA Novosti) – The trucks that have delivered humanitarian aid to Luhansk in southeastern Ukraine are done unloading their cargo and are headed for the Russian border, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported Friday.

Earlier, the Russian humanitarian aid convoy sent to southeastern Ukraine split into two, with half of the 100 trucks routed to Luhansk and the rest going to Donetsk.

The trucks are carrying about 1,000 tons of humanitarian aid to help residents of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions cope with the upcoming winter. The aid includes food, medication, construction materials and winter supplies.

This is the fourth humanitarian convoy for southeastern Ukraine from Russia. The first three delivered about 6,000 tons of humanitarian cargo to the region.
