MOSCOW, October 24 (RIA Novosti) - The UEFA disciplinary committee will announce a rematch of the 2016 Euro qualifying game between Serbia and Albania at a neutral site; the Serbian team will be sanctioned with home matches without supporters until the end of the qualifying competition, reported Serbian newspaper "Politika" Friday.

The sanctions follow the disrupted qualifying game between Serbia and Albania when fans invaded the pitch on October 14 in Belgrade. The game was called off during the 41st minute when a small remote-controlled drone carrying an Albanian flag and political message appeared over the pitch.

When Serbian defender Stefan Mitrovic pulled the flag to the ground, several Albanian players forcibly tried to take the flag from him. At this point, several Serbian players rushed to the field in defense. Numerous fights broke out between the players and spectators. Referee Martin Atkinson of England stopped the game, and after 30 minutes it was called off at 0:0.

The participants of the scuffle will be heavily fined, and the Serbian Football Union supposedly will not appeal the verdict, cited the newspaper.

The UEFA disciplinary committee reviewed the situation Thursday, the verdict is expected Friday.
