GENEVA, October 18 (RIA Novosti) - More than 100 people have been injured and 25 have died this week as a result of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) report said.

"As of October 15, 3,707 people have been killed, 9,075 have been injured," the report published Friday says.

In the previous report that UN OCHA released last week, the death toll was at 3,682 people and 8,871 people were stated as injured.

Kiev forces started fighting independence supporters in Ukraine’s southeastern regions in mid-April, when Ukrainian authorities launched a military operation in response to the local residents' refusal to recognize the country’s new government.

On September 5, a ceasefire agreement was signed between the two sides during a trilateral meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine. On September 19, the Contact Group met again to agree on more details regarding the implementation of the ceasefire. However, both sides subsequently accuse each other of violating the truce.
