MOSCOW, October 1 (RIA Novosti) - Pennsylvania police have found two pipe bombs in woods during their search for Eric Frein accused of killing a state trooper, The Guardian reported.

Lt. Col. George Bivens said the bombs were fully functional, but not deployed, The Guardian reported Tuesday. Bivens claimed the bombs, apparently being used by Frein, were hastily abandoned, though could have been set off by a trip wire or fuse.

Eric Frein is accused of killing Cpl. Bryon Dickson and seriously injuring Trooper Alex Douglass at the Blooming Grove barracks during the changeover on September 12. Frein managed to escape and is believed to be hiding in the woods near his home in the Pocono Mountains.

The search for Eric Frein, which has lasted for more than two weeks, has not brought any visible results yet. Police describe Frein, who is now included in the FBI's Most Wanted list, as a survivalist having extensive knowledge on how to avoid police manhunts.
