VR listener: “I read the President of the Donetsk People’s Republic wants to have an independent state, who can blame them after being bombed. It’s tragic that NATO has announced 4000 spearhead troops to provide protection against a fictitious aggression from Russia”

We have are receiving a lot of emails on the subject of the latest developments on the global geopolitical arena.

Listeners’ Two Cents on Ukrainian Developments

Stylianos Panaghe, from Cyprus wrote: Let's call a spade a spade, NATO uses gangster methods to achieve its aims, forcing states into a Gangster protection racket, they approach their victims using threats, blackmail, to join the protection racket, and pay money to the gangster money pot, how civilised, at least General De Gaulle saw through this scam, and kept his distance, it is a disreputable organisation?

Thomas Corcoran from Sweden: I heard much good about Russia, Russians and your President Putin while listening to the first hour of an alternative Internet radio program from Missouri in the US. The hosts also took up the question of why it is strange that Russians should have to suffer from sanctions when all that President Putin has done the whole time is to try to calm things down. That was the only news that I listened to so far today but will be heading to the VR in a while. It is just that there is no point whatsoever in listening to the mainstream media here or as I call it, the lamestream media, as its agenda seems to be to get a war going with anyone in order to cover up our economic and financial troubles here in the so-called "west."

Steve Wojcyk from Canada sent us an email: I am glad to see that so far at least the ceasefire is holding in Ukraine and I wonder if Kiev wants to get the IMF which can only be had if there is a lasting peace of if they just want to reorganize because they have been losing up to now. I read the President of the Donetsk People’s Republic wants to have an independent state and who can blame them after being bombed. It is tragic that NATO has announced 4000 spearhead troops to provide protection against a fictitious aggression from Russia. Well I guess they will probably sell arms to the Baltic countries that can ill afford them. …It is a pity that the US cannot get away from their dead end militaristic economy and switch over to a normal competitive business economy for which if they did I am sure that most nations of the world would be glad to help them make the transition into a peace based economy.

What’s your take on the situation? We are eager to hear and share your feedback.
